Licensed by the NC Board of Medical Examiners and board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Scott Binford received a master of medical science from Emory University in Atlanta in 1996. After relocating to North Raleigh in 1996, Scott accepted a position with a local neurosurgical practice and has been with Raleigh Neurology since 2002. Scott completed a BS in biology at Montevallo University and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the NC Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Neurology. He enjoys spending time with his daughter and outdoor sports including soccer, volleyball and boating on the North Carolina Intracoastal Waterway.

Jessica Cain, PA-C, AQH, MPAS
Jessica graduated in 2004 from South University in Savannah Georgia with a master’s degree. She joined a private practice group in Hickory, NC in 2005 where she realized quickly that neurology was her perfect fit. Throughout her career she has practiced in a general neurology setting, but has special interest in areas such as headache, sleep, and multiple sclerosis. She received her AQH from the National Headache Foundation in 2021. She’s actively participating in the APPEC for migraine to help increase HCP’s awareness in newer migraine treatments. She has been an active member of multiple professional organizations including the ANPA, AAN, and recently participated in the house of delegates for the AAPA. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling or just spending time with her family, including her four-legged kiddos (three dogs and one cat).

Jan is a native of Virginia. She received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies in 2011 from South University in Savannah, Georgia, and she moved to North Carolina in 2012. A native of North Carolina, Stacey received her BSN from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. She has over 11 years of experience in neurosciences and critical care nursing. Stacey completed her MSN at East Carolina University in 2012 and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She lives in Raleigh with her husband and two children.

Kelsie Cato, PA-C
Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Kelsie received her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies in 2009 from the Medical College of Georgia. She is NCCPA board certified and has worked in Neurosurgery as well as inpatient Neurology. She has relocated to Raleigh from the Orlando, FL area in early 2015 with her husband and three children. Dr. Edith Ferris, AuD, Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Ferris holds the Clinical Certificate of Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She received her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas and her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Practicing as an audiologist since 2000, Dr. Ferris specializes in Vestibular Disorders and has a strong interest in Tinnitus treatment. She offers comprehensive hearing evaluations, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, Videonystagmography (VNG), Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP) and Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP). Dr. Ferris enjoys woodturning and travelling.

Sean was raised in West Virginia and earned his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Alderson Broaddus University. Prior to relocating to the Raleigh area, Sean was a primary care provider and also practiced in Internal Medicine with a cardiologist. Suzanne grew up in Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia and obtained a BSN in 2002. She practiced as an adult critical care nurse until she returned to UVA to obtain her MSN in 2012. Andrew was born and raised in the area of Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of the Duke University Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Health Sciences. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board, and certified by the NCCPA. Ginger is a native of Melbourne, FL. She moved to North Carolina in 1995 after receiving a volleyball scholarship to Lenoir-Rhyne College. Upon completion of her BS degree, she began studies at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, where she graduated with Academic Distinction in 2003. After graduation, Ginger initially practiced family medicine, but eventually moved on to Neurology, and has been practicing in this field since 2005. Harry is a native of Georgia and relocated to the Triangle in 2008. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his Masters of Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Raleigh Neurology, Harry was a Nurse Practitioner at The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke. Harry currently resides in Durham and enjoys spending time with his wife, watching sci-fi, and playing guitar.

Carrie Lewis, RN, MSN, CPNP, CPHON
Carrie was born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan area and moved to NC in 1998. Before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she worked as an RN for 10 years in the Pediatric ICU and with pediatric oncology patients. She received her Masters of Science, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Duke University in 2002 and has experience in pediatric primary care offices, pediatric oncology, and pediatric urgent care. She returned to school for a Post-Master’s degree in Acute Care Pediatrics at Emory University to combine her love of taking care of children in both the office and hospital setting, and will graduate in December 2018. Carrie is looking forward to caring for children with neurological disorders, and partnering with their parents to provide excellent, comprehensive care of the child in all aspects.
In her spare time, Carrie is a huge Carolina Hurricanes fan and has been a Season Ticket Holder for 10 years. She shares her love of animals by bringing her therapy dog, Abbey (Golden Retriever) to visit children in schools and libraries.

Meghan E. Murphy was raised in Reston, Virginia. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008, and from New York University with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2015. She is board-certified as an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As a nurse practitioner, Meghan has worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, and UNC Medical Center. As a registered nurse, she worked in both surgical and medical intensive-care units at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Thinh Nguyen, FNP
Thinh Nguyen was born in Vietnam and relocated to the States at age 4, where he was raised in Virginia. He graduated with a dual-degree of a BS in Psychology and a BS in Science in 2009 from the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. Thinh graduated from VCU’s Accelerated BS program and received his BS in Nursing in 2010 and practiced as a RN on the Acute Neuroscience Unit of the VCU Health System. He graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program and received his MSN from Georgetown University in 2014. Thinh is a board-certified FNP through the AANP and is a member of Psi Chi, Sigma Theta Tau, and the AANP. He enjoys soccer and table tennis, as well as spending time with his wife and their two dogs.

Born and raised in the Philippines, JJ relocated to Raleigh, NC in 2017 and has been employed at Raleigh Neurology Associates ever since. Cassady Turregano, NP
Cassady is originally from North Carolina and has returned to the triangle after spending the last several years in various locations across the country. She completed her Master’s degree as a nurse practitioner at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and has her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In family practice, Cassady has a long history of working with neurology patients. She particularly enjoys working with those with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, migraines, seizures, as well as memory and movement disorders. When not focused on work, Cassady enjoys spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends. She spends her free time creating art projects, volunteering and traveling.
