Dr. Milowic was born in Hawaii, and as a child of a military family, she was raised “all over.” She earned a BA in biology at the University of Texas at Austin in 1982, and an MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1988. She completed her medical internship with the United States Navy in San Diego, and continued through two tours of duty as a Naval Flight Surgeon in Brunswick, Maine and Corpus Christi, Texas. Dr. Milowic completed a residency in Pediatrics at UNC and is board-certified in developmental and behavioral pediatrics after completing a two year fellowship at the Clinical Center for Development and Learning at UNC. She joined Raleigh Neurology in 2002 as a developmental pediatrician, and has a special interest in Autism and ADHD.
